Achieving Dreams

Achieving Dreams:  Fundraising by working at concession stands at major sport events or Renaissance Festival. 

We are excited to inform you about the escrow fundraising opportunity by working with Achieving Dreams organization. JBBC Students as well as their family members earn escrow funds by working at concession stands at major sport events and Renaissance Festival.

How old do you need to be to volunteer?
Anyone 14 or over may participate at the Renaissance Festival and for flower sales. 
You must be 16 or older to work for the Gophers and Vikings. 
If you are 18 or older, you may work at any venue or event. 

How much does an Achieving Dreams participants raise?
The amount raised varies from game to game and venue to venue. For 2016 commissions: Twins events range from $70 to $100, Gophers football from $65 to $80, Lynx/Timberwolves are $50-$60 and Renaissance Festival is $65 to $80.

When are the funds available?
Most venues donate to Achieving Dreams 45 to 60 days after the game or event. The donations are processed and funds are released to the grant pool for availability.  

How to request the fund into JBBC escrow account?
After the Achieving Dreams funds are available, go to its website to fill out the grant request form.  In the form, provide your student’s name and mailing address and have JBBC listed as the "Check written to” organization. Once the check is received, it can be turned to Mrs. Gauper so that the amount will be added to your  student’s escrow account. 

How to register for this opportunity?
Individual students and their family members can register with Achieving Dreams directly. You will need a credit card to complete the first registration for $10 annual site maintenance fee.
